Thorntons New Strategy Raises Questions

Thortons, the well established UK chocolate brand recently announced a new strategy, a new marketing duo, new investment, new optimism, new extended product range, new cost reductions and improvements across all sales channels. Special attention will be given to closing 120 retail stores costing around £4.8 mill over 3 years and ensuring the 227 existing franchisees and new ones, take up at least 50% of the sales lost from closing own stores.
